HC TELLS POLICE BOARD TO HEAR PLEA ON QUOTA
The Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday directed the chairman of Telangana State Police Recruitment Board not to go ahead with the recruitment of sub-inspectors without considering the objections raised by a petitioner.
Justice A. Rajasheker Reddy granted the interim order while dealing with a petition by M Ramesh seeking to declare the action of the board as illegal.
The petitioner brought to the notice of the court that the board was not considering the 2 per cent norm for sportspersons and the 3 per cent NCC quota. He said that though he had raised objections, the authorities notified the preliminary list of selected candidates.
While issuing notices to the board, the judge directed the board not go ahead with the selection process and posted the case to Monday.
