Charity drives mark CM’s birthday
■ The desire of 11year-old Vignesh, suffering from an ailment, to meet the CM got fulfilled.
■ The CM had specially invited Vignesh to Pragati Bhavan on the occasion of his birthday.
■ He spent some time with Vignesh.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s birthday was celebrated on Saturday in a grand manner across the state. Blood donation camps, medical camps and other charity programmes were organised by TRS leaders and the cadre on the occasion.
President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers, TS & AP Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Maharashtra Governor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao, Bihar Governor Satya Pal Malik, AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh, leader of the Opposition in TS Assembly K. Jana Reddy, Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia and others conveyed birthday greetings to the CM.
The celebrations were held at Pragati Bhavan, the camp office cum residence of the CM in Begumpet.
Mr Rao performed special puja at Mysamma temple inside the premises of Pragati Bhavan on Saturday morning.
Later, Deputy CMs Kadiam Srihari and Mohd Mahmood Ali, ministers, MLAs, MLCs, chairpersons of various corporations, IAS and IPS officers, prominent personalities and a host of other dignitaries met the CM and conveyed their greetings.

The CM had specially invited Vignesh to Pragati Bhavan on the occasion of his birthday. He spent some time with Vignesh, who was accompanied by his parents.
Vignesh was delighted to meet the CM and spend some time with him. He took his family pictures with the CM.
The CM enquired about his health and assured that the government will bear all the medical expenses of Vignesh. Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav organised the CM’s birthday celebrations in a grand manner at Jala Vihar, Necklace Road.
Distribution of tricycles to physically challenged, distribution of sarees to old women, blood donation camp and other charity programmes were held on the occasion.
