TRAFFIC DIVERSIONS FOR SATURDAY

Hyderabad: The city and neighbouri­ng suburbs will witness huge police deployment and traffic restrictio­ns in view of the Million March call on Saturday given by the TJAC. In addition to check posts and pickets at various entry points on the city outskirts, huge police forces from all wings and paramilita­ry forces have already been put in place for Saturday. City police Commission­er V.V. Srinivas Rao in an official release stated, in order to maintain security, traffic on the Upper Tank Bund will be closed from 11 am to 5 pm on Saturday and to ensure the free flow of traffic in Hyderabad city, restrictio­ns and diversions are imposed in City. Traffic coming from Secunderba­d to Hyderabad will not be allowed beyond Karbala Maidan towards Upper Tankbund will be diverted towards sailing club, Kavadiguda X Road, DBR Mills, Kattamaisa­mma temple, Ambedkar Statue, Telugu Talli flyover and Ravindra Bharathi. Traffic coming from Necklace Rotary & Telugu Tally will be not be allowed towards Upper Tankbund and will be diverted towards Gaganmahal, Indira Park. Traffic coming from Nirankari, Saifabad Old police station, Iqbal Minar will be diverted towards Mint compound or Secretaria­t Slip road, NTR marg, Necklace Rotary, Necklace Road, Sanjeevaia­h park, Nallagutta, Secunderab­ad. Traffic coming from Liberty will be diverted towards BRK Bhavan, IT ,Telugu Tally, Necklace Rotary, VV Statue or Necklace Road, Sanjeevaia­h Park, Secunderab­ad. Traffic coming from Basheerbag­h or under the Basheerbag­h flyover will be diverted towards More Medical Hall, Balaji Grand Bazar, Crystal, IT, Telugu Tally, Left turn, Iqbal Minar, U turn, Telugu Talli Flyover or Mint compound or Ravindra Bharathi. Traffic coming from Secunderab­ad will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Buddha Bhavan, Sajeevaiah Park, Necklace Road, Necklace Rotary,VV Statue or Telugu Tally. “Therefore, the public is requested to start early, take alternate routes to reach their destinatio­n and also cooperate with the cops,” an official release said.
