Man tries boarding running bus, dies

Hyderabad: M. Chakravarthy, 54, a resident of Doodbowli, Charminar died when he tried boarding a running bus. According to the police, the man worked as a watchman in Maharaja Complex opposite Paradise. After his work finished at around 5.30 pm, he was waiting for a bus to go home. “The victim tried catching a bus headed towards Ranigunj and unfortunately slipped and came under its wheels. Though the driver tried stopping the bus, he could not,” police said. He is survived by his wife Mahananda and son Praveen. They migrated to Hyderabad from Bidar, Karnataka. Police have apprehended the bus driver.
