Murdered man found on track
The Secunderabad government railway police recovered the severed body of an unidentified man on the railway tracks at Bolaram Bazaar railway station on Sunday morning.
The police registered a case of murder after finding that the man was killed and his body was put on the tracks, to stage it as a death caused due to the hitting of a train.
At 7.40 am on Sunday, local people at the railway station found a severed body of a man on the railway tracks and alerted the GRP officials. The police rushed to the spot and found that the man was run over by a train but on close observation, they found a boulder beside the tracks, which had blood stains on it.
The police then pulled in the dog squad and clues team and senior officials inspected the spot.
Secunderabad GRP Inspector K. Adi Reddy said that the man, aged between 25 and 30 years was killed on the railway platform in Bolaram Bazaar railway station using a boulder. He has a head injury that was caused using the boulder. The body was later placed on the tracks, due to which it was cut into two pieces after being run over by a train.
“We suspect that the murder could have taken place on the intervening night of July 28 and 29. A team is on the job to establish the identity of the deceased, based on which further probe will proceed,” inspector Reddy.
