GOA TO HYD BUS BREAKS DOWN IN K’TKA

-

The Orange Travels bus travelling from Goa to Hyderabad broke down on the highway in Kalaburgi, Karnataka, on Sunday. Around 24 Telugu passengers were stranded on the road from early morning for around six hours before they got a replacement bus.

The passengers alleged that they missed connection trains and buses due to the breakdown.

The passengers who were travelling from Goa to Hyderabad have trains scheduled from Hyderabad on Sunday evening to Guntur and other cities, however they missed the connection transport and had to look for alternative transport to their destinations.

Mr Rakesh, a passenger who was travelling in the bus, said, “We started our journey at 6.30 am on July 28 and we reached Hyderabad on Sunday evening. I had my train scheduled for Guntur at 4 pm which I had missed because the bus reached Hyderabad at 5.45 pm on Sunday. The bus stopped in Kalaburgi at 6 am and we waited till 12:30 pm to start again to Hyderabad. Luckily we stopped at a small hotel due to which we were able to take our food on time. There were about 30 people in the bus, including four children.”

Mr Praveen Goud, from Orange Travels, said, “We had immediately arranged cars for all the passengers in one hour. It was an unfortunate incident, we tried to resolve the problem as soon as possible.”
