Besides this, the corporation has also decided to demolish the 60-year-old Charminar police station and provide a part of the land for such persons whose properties were affected due to the CPP project. It has embarked on a survey to check the funds available after utilising a part of it for CPP.

The new bridge at Salarjung Museum will accommodate 80 four-wheelers and 250 hawkers. The corporation has decided to demolish the police station as it falls under the 100 metre novehicle zone.

The corporation, after acquiring the required land, will hand over the remaining land to project-affected properties. “Only a part of the land will be given to commercial establishment owners whose properties fall within 100 metre radius,” said a senior corporation official. He said that the corporation would conduct a survey from Thursday to check the land availability after demolishing the police station. He also said that the police station would be shifted to Shalibanda bus station. The corporation would acquire 16 properties within 100 metre radius to ensure a clear view of the Macca Masjid from the Charminar.
