Groom spies on bride, she files a complaint

-

A groom suspecting the bride created a furor and led to her registering a case against him. In the midnight of Sunday, high tension was created at Thotlavalluru police station of Krishna district. An engaged couple scheduled for marriage divided because of the groom's spying on the bride and suspecting her character.

Divya, daughter of Meruga Nagarjuna of Royyuru village of Thotlavalluru mandal, Krishna district was engaged to Naga Srinu son of Arise Rama Rao of Nibhanupudi village on 22nd June at her residence. Both work at private jobs in Vijayawada. The girl's family gave one lakh rupees as dowry to the groom. The marriage was scheduled for the night of 2nd September, but the groom absconded.

As per local reports, after the engagement, Divya and Srinu jointly went to shop. They were also speaking to each other frequently on phone. One night, Srinu could not reach Divya's mobile all night. Suspecting something, he installed a spy app in her mobile without her knowledge and tried to know her call and chat details.

Divya felt insulted and after arguments, the issue became serious. Naga Srinu refused to marry Divya unless he was given access to her call and chat details. He even demanded a medical test to prove her virginity.

Furious with his comments, Divya lodged a complaint against him for spying on her phone and insulting her. Despite their families' attempts at a compromise, Naga Srinu is ready to face a case.
