TRS leaders look at a one-sided battle

-

TRS leaders on Monday said that the grand success of Sunday's Pragati Nivedana Sabha had proved beyond doubt that there is no place for any other party in the state. They said that party's show of strength where lakhs of people had turned up showed that the war will be one-sided in the upcoming elections and the TRS would win over 100 seats with ease.

Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, MLC Karne Prabhakar, MP Balka Suman and MLA A. Jeevan Reddy addressed separate press conferences on Monday in Hyderabad.

Mr Srinivas Yadav said the Congress leaders' claim that the public meeting was a flop show, based on the CM restraining from criticising any other party, was being mocked by the people.

"They seem to be upset at the CM for not criticising them in the meeting. It shows they were expecting criticism from the CM. The programme's agenda was to release the progress report on the achievements of the TRS government in the past four years and not to shower political criticism on anyone," Mr Yadav said.

Mr Prabhakar said the TRS event created a record in the country as the biggest-ever public meeting by any political party.

Mr Balka Suman said that the number of people who came to TRS meeting to sell snacks and water bottles were more than the total number of people who attended Rahul Gandhi’s recent meetings in Hyderabad.
