-

Years of hard work could not bring happiness to a Saudi-returned gentleman. His wife who was having an extramarital affair, had planned to transfer the family property in her paramour’s name. Furious, the husband killed his wife by beheading her. The gruesome murder took place in Kadapa district on Tuesday. He then came to the police station carrying the head in a gunny bag, and surrendered.

The incident that took place in Dudyala village under Sambepalli police station limits is yet another statistic in the increasing number of instances of murder in connection with extra marital affairs in the district.

Pasupuleti Venkaramana got married to Rani in 1999. The couple had two sons. The elder son recently died due to an illness. Meanwhile, Venkata Ramana went to the Gulf with to earn more money to keep his family happy. He sent money regularly to his wife, who purchased a land at Rayachoti. Ramana, returned a few months ago and suspected his wife of having an extra marital affair and lodged a complaint against her a month ago, when the duo tried to sell the site. She also approached the police to get back the site documents from her husband. Ramana developed a grudge and planned to eliminate her.

When she was travelling on a motor cycle with her paramour Ramana waylaid them and attacked and beheaded Rani. To take revenge on the family that rejected his marriage proposal after finding that the information furnished by him on the matrimony site was false, a 32-year-old man from Nagpur morphed the pictures of the bride and posted the same on social media. The accused has been arrested by the Hyderabad Cybercrime police and remanded to judicial custody.

According to the city cybercrime police, the accused Ramzan Riyaz Ansari, 32, created a fake profile on Shaadi.com mentioning that he was a businessman based in Nagpur and a widower. He sent requests to unmarried women expressing his interest to marry them.

A city-based woman expressed her interest in marrying Riyaz. After a few conversations, Riyaz asked for the photos of the woman and her family members. Last month, when the woman’s family got to know that Riyaz has provided false details, they decided to call off the wedding.

“Riyaz wanted to take revenge. He created a fake profile on Facebook and uploaded morphed pictures of the bride. He posted the email id and phone number of the woman on the fake profile, due to which she received several unwanted calls from strangers. Further, Riyaz informed the woman that he wanted to marry her cousin,” said the police. The man has been arrested under Sections 67 (A) of IT Act.
