Lok Adalat news fake, says po­lice

■ Cit­i­zens re­quested the po­lice to con­duct it

A fake mes­sage stat­ing that Hyderabad traf­fic po­lice will con­duct the Lok Adalat on Dec 23 went vi­ral on so­cial me­dia on Satur­day morn­ing.

The mes­sages also states that there would be a 50 per cent dis­count on the pend­ing chal­lans.

In the evening the Hyderabad traf­fic po­lice re­quested cit­i­zens to not be­lieve and spread the fake mes­sages. How­ever, many peo­ple shared it on so­cial me­dia.

Ad­di­tional Com­mis­sioner of po­lice (Traf­fic) Anil Ku­mar said, “We will def­i­nitely Lok Adalat on De­cem­ber 23. We would like to in­form the cit­i­zens that the mes­sage is fake. Please don’t be­lieve it. Thanks. (sic),” the po­lice’s tweet read. Some replied to the mes­sage on Twit­ter ex­press­ing their in­ter­est in the Lok Adalat.

@im­chi­rag24 a user tweeted, “Any of­fi­cial up­date about when will you con­duct Lok Adalat?”

Syed Ali SId­diq com­mented, “Thanks, but we cit­i­zens need a Lok Adalat. Ar­range it (sic)”.

An­other Twit­ter user Ravin­dra Ba­jaj com­mented, “Thanks sir but Lok Adalat is needed. Please ar­range (sic).”.
