Mo­biles worth `30 lakh stolen THE FIVE men came in a car wear­ing masks and broke open the locks of the mo­bile shops at mid­night on Fri­day.

Five masked men broke into three mo­bile shops in Shamshabad area late on Fri­day night and de­camped with `30 lakh worth of mo­biles and gad­gets.

A case was booked with the Ra­jiv Gandhi In­ter­na­tional Air­port (RGIA) po­lice and a probe is on.

Ac­cord­ing to RGIA po­lice in­spec­tor, A. Gan­gad­har, “The five men came in a car wear­ing masks and broke open the locks of the three mo­bile shops around Fri­day mid­night.

“The of­fend­ers were caught in the CCTV cam­eras in­stalled in the vicin­ity and based on a com­plaint from Sud­hakar, the owner of one of the shops, a case was booked un­der Sec­tion 457 (lurk­ing house-tres­pass or house-break­ing by night in order to com­mit of­fence pun­ish­able with im­pris­on­ment) and 380 (Theft in dwelling house) of IPC and an in­ves­ti­ga­tion was started,” said the of­fi­cial.

He added that the po­lice has asked the mo­bile shop own­ers to pro­duce an es­ti­mated bill of the stolen items.
