Am­ritha emerges best win­ner at US Kids Golf Tour tour­ney

Pranav, Raj, Aryan, Aarav and Sneha too make city proud

Lo­cal lads Pranav Kode and P. Raj Ku­mar put up a good show to take the first two po­si­tions in the Boys 15-18 years cat­e­gory in the Hy­der­abad leg of the US Kids Golf In­dia Tour at the Boul­der Hills Golf and Coun­try Club here on Satur­day. Both shot over the par score though.

Hy­der­abad’s Am­ritha Man­dava dished out the best per­for­mance of the day, card­ing 4 un­der 68 to win the Girls 12-14 ti­tle. Ragini Navet of Delhi came a dis­tant sec­ond with 3 over 75 while Sneha Singh and Pi­hoo Chauhan of Hy­der­abad took the third and fourth po­si­tions in the cat­e­gory.

The eight and nine-yearold girls came up with an ex­cit­ing con­test with Samb­havi Chaturvedi

The Girls 8-9 cat­e­gory threw up an ex­cit­ing con­test with Samb­havi Chaturvedi and Aye­sha Gupta fin­ish­ing tied sec­ond. Rhea Ku­mar took teh top hon­ours.

and Aye­sha Gupta of Delhi-NCR fin­ish­ing tied sec­ond. Rhea Ku­mar, also from Delhi-NCR, topped the cat­e­gory. Shlok Jain from the US putted well to grab the top spot in the Boys 12 sec­tion.

Ar­sh­vant Sri­vas­tava topped the Boys 9 with a su­perb dis­play of golf, hit­ting seven birdies to fin­ish level par. Ar­sh­vant was un­der­stand­ably elated. “The course was re­ally chal­leng­ing. I am re­ally happy to get seven birdies in the tour­na­ment,” he said.

With the fo­cus on pro­mot­ing ju­nior golf in In­dia in a well-struc­tured for­mat, US Kids Golf is recog­nised as a world leader in youth golf, and is ded­i­cated to help­ing young play­ers en­joy golf with age-ap­pro­pri­ate yardages.

Ra­jesh Sri­vas­tava, Pres­i­dent, U.S. Kids Golf In­dia said, “U.S. Golf Kids In­dia has been formed with the real cause of pro­mot­ing ju­nior golf in the coun­try. It was amaz­ing to see the tal­ent on dis­play to­day and we couldn't have been hap­pier with the way that the U.S. Golf Kids In­dia Tour has kicked off.”
