KASHMIR SAGA

The Kashmiris feel a sense of alienation. They are wedged between the nationalistic pressure and the pernicious indoctrination from across the borders (Cross-LoC trade facing slow death, DC, Jan. 13). The cross-LoC trade which was encouraged by former PM Atal Behari Vajpayee will uplift the morale of the Kashmiris. Trade with security clearances will help cement the bonds across the two borders. This human appeasement will go a long way in normalising the situation.
