TTD GEARS UP FOR PARUVETA UTSAVAM
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam is gearing up to celebrate the auspicious Paruveta Utsavam, which was slated to be observed in Tirumala on the day of Kanuma on Wednesday.
As part of the Kanuma festival, earlier in the morning following Goda Parinayam, a procession will be organised for floral garlands of Andal Sri Godai from Pedda Jiyar Mutt in four mada streets. Later, it will be offered to the presiding deity Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala temple.
Later in the afternoon, Paruveta Utsavam will be observed from 1 pm onwards, wherein Sri Malayappa Swamy along with Sri Krishna Swamy will reach Paruveta Mandapam and Asthanam, a mock hunt fete will be performed.
The TTD has cancelled all arjitha sevas following this fete on Wednesday in Tirumala temple. The Anga Pradakdhina has also been cancelled for this day.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of the last day of Dhanurmasam on Monday, Alwar Divya Prabandha Project of TTD organised the Goda Kalyanam at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati.
Ms M. Bhanuja and her troupe rendered Varanamayiram pasurams in the form of Kuchipudi dance and enthralled the audience. Varanamayiram is a poetic song composed by Goda Devi describing to her friends about her dream of marrying Lord Krishna. The programme concluded with Goda Kalyam.
