Pope reveals Test ambitions

-

Dubai: Lloyd Pope, the young Australian leg-spinner, sparkled in Sydney Sixers' victory over Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League on Sunday, 20 January, taking key wickets of Jimmy Peirson and Brendon McCullum to earn his team a 79-run win. After going without a wicket in his first couple of games, Pope had been dropped. But he was excellent on his comeback, foxing Peirson with dip to have him stumped, and then getting rid of the dangerous McCullum. “I don't know how far I will go but I definitely would love to play for Australia in all three formats,” he said. “That's every young cricketer's dream and I'm going to try my absolute hardest to get there. I have to work on a lot of things — all three facets.”
