Hyderabad: A deputy executive engineer in Vemulawada was arrested for demanding a bribe. Nagireddy Mahender Reddy was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of `60,000 from complainant Katta Lachaiah. The accused had asked Lachaiah for money to check the measurements of the Gram Panchayat building, which the complainant’s wife was constructing. The man was arrested and produced before the special court for ACB.
