Wakf ready to give land for NH 6 WAKF properties will be affected as per the present plan of six-laning the Aramgarh-Shamshabad section of NH-44.

The Telangana State Wakf Board has expressed its willingness to alienate any land parcel it owns for the elevated sixlane road on the Aramgarh-Shamshabad section of NH-44 and asked the National Highway Authority of India and revenue authorities to not demolish any structures or construct on the land without reaching any solution.

Wakf Board, NHAI, revenue, roads and buildings and police officials along with Rajendranagar legislator Prakash Goud and MIM leaders inspected the stretch on Thursday.

Six Wakf properties will be affected as per the present plan of six-laning the highway section. These properties include a graveyard, Masjid-e-Noor in Budvel, a graveyard in Satamrai, Dargah Aga Fareeduddin Baba, a graveyard and Masjid-eNoor in Shamshabad.

Wakf Board authorities clarified that the places of worships should not be affected. “We have no objection to acquiring the open land belonging to the Wakf Board but we can’t allow demolition of religious places,” an official said. The board asked the NHAI and revenue authorities to either divert the highway or build a bridge to avoid demolitions.

Wakf Board chairman Mohammed Saleem said the matter would be discussed at a meeting MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and the local MLA along with senior officials.

Wakf Board CEO Shahnawaz Khasim, R&B superintendenting engineer P. Rajender Kumar and others were present.
