WAKF BOARD’S E-QAZZATH FROM MONDAY

The Wakf Board is introducin­g a new online facility, e-Qazzath, from Monday which enables applicants to apply online for certificat­es for marriage, divorce and Khula with an option to schedule their appointmen­t for physical verificati­on of documents and collection of certificat­es. The system also facilitate­s citizens to make payments online and reschedule their appointmen­ts.

Wakf Board chief executive officer Shahnawaz Khasim said e-Qazzath was being been introduced to prevent crowding at the Wakf Board office and cutting down the waiting time for applicants. Appointmen­ts are allotted according to the handling capacity of the board office on a particular day based on an automated queue management system. He said online payment will be the alternativ­e mode.

Applicants who obtained confirmati­on of appointmen­ts and are unable to visit the board office can reschedule their appointmen­ts.
