Be­gin by ly­ing on your side per­pen­dic­u­lar to the ground, with your legs straight. Sup­port your head on your left arm with your right leg di­rectly on top of your left. This will be your start­ing po­si­tion. Ini­ti­ate the ex­er­cise by ab­duct­ing/ rais­ing your right leg, push­ing the leg away from the mid­line of your body. Pause at the top of the mo­tion, and then re­turn to the start­ing po­si­tion. Re­peat 10-15 times.
