COMPLAINTS AGAINST LOW-COST AIRLINES

THE COMPETITION Commission of India, following a petition filed by Express Industry Council of India, alleging cartelisation held three airlines, namely Jet Airways, Indigo and Go Air, responsible for fixing and revising the fuel surcharge.

THE CCI imposed a penalty of `39.81 crore against Jet Airways, `9.45 crore on Indigo and `5.10 crore on Go Air.
