Mr Kumar had gone to Chennai to write the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam for nonnative English speakers in Chennai, but had forgotten to carry his passport. His father sent the passport through registered post but he did not receive it in time.

He demanded that the postal department reimburse him the travel chages and the International English Language Testing System fee of

`12,500.

There was mo response from the postal department to Mr Kumar’s complaint till late in the evening on Monday.
