- DC CORRESPONDENT

A Sudanese national residing in the city illegally was arrested by the Rajendranagar police on Monday. A Blue Colts team nabbed him at P&T Colony at Sun City during patrol.

Adeeb Hassan Gallabai Faraha, 29, from Sudan, told that he was staying with his friend in a rented flat. Rajendranagar inspector G. Suresh said, “Adeeb did not have valid documents issued either by the Republic of Sudan or from the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.”

“He was not willing to share details about how he entered India and where his passport was. Letters adressed to the UNHCR, Foreigner Regional Registration Office and the Sudan embassy are being sent to get more details,” he said.

He added that the police was investigating to find out the purpose behind his visit. Adeeb was booked under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act and produced before a court for remand.
