STOP FREEBIES

Parties are promising freebies to all sections of society, without considering the effect it would have on the revenue (Populism cloud on state budgets, DC, Feb. 10). To compensate, governments are levying taxes burdening the middle class. With revenue deficit increasing every year, governments should desist from showering freebies. Dinanath Shenolkar
