1 arrested for selling Ganja

Hyderabad: Two Bihar natives turned drug peddlers and started selling Ganja to students and software employees in the IT corridor were identified by the police. One of the peddlers was arrested by the Excise Enforcemen­t team on Thursday morning. The accused had been identified as Rajeev Kumar, 26 and his friend Pankaj. They used to buy Ganja from a supplier named Gautham who operated from Dhoolpet. Police arrested Rajeev, but Pankaj managed to escape. N. Anjireddy, Assistant Excise Superinten­dent Enforcemen­t, Hyderabad said, “Acting on a tip-off from reliable sources, we found that the accused were in possession of the contraband. We nabbed Rajeev, but Pankaj managed to escape. The cops seized 1.5 Kg Dry Ganja, bikes used to transport it and `8,500 cash.” The cops are in a bid to track Pankaj.
