OLA CABBIE WHO MOLESTED WOMAN HELD

■ THE CABBIE misbehaved with her by inappropriately touching her private parts and also held her hand asking her to allow him to stay in her house for some time. When she escaped and went inside her house, he kept calling her. An Ola cab driver, who allegedly misbehaved with a female model by touching her inappropriately when she was getting down at her home, was arrested by Neredmet police on Thursday.

A week ago, a 34-year-old female model from Neredmet has complained to the Neredmet police that she had taken a cab (TS 12 UB 1200) from Chikkadpally to her house in Sainathpuram.

After getting down, the cabbie misbehaved with her by inappropriately touching her private parts and also held her hand asking her to allow him to stay in her house for some time.

The woman after managing to get rid of him rushed inside the house, but the cabbie continued calling on her phone number and harassed her.

A case was registered by the police under sections 354 A and 354 D of IPC who nabbed Ajar (20), driver of the Ola cab from Adityanagar in Hafeezpet of Miyapur on Thursday.

“The accused misbehaved with the woman passengers and used vulgar language towards her and outraged her modesty. He is arrested and produced before the court for judicial remand,” said Neredmet inspector A. Narsimha Swamy.
