COURT SEEKS DETAILS IN LAND GRABBING CASE

The Telangana High Court on Thursday directed the state government to get details on a petition before them about grabbing of government land by family members of film actor Krishna Ghattamaneni.

Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar sought clarity from revenue authorities while dealing with a petition by T. Mangilal and four others, residents of Laxmipuram village in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. The petition alleges that revenue authorities were silent on encroachment of around four acres of government land in their village by Galla Padmavathi and G. Ramesh Babu. The court inquired why revenue officials had not conducted a survey of said disputed land.
