Paris: A former boxer who became a hero to some of ‘yellow vest’ protesters after beating up police officers during a demonstration was convicted on Wednesday and given a one-year prison term. Ignoring prosecution calls for a heavier sentence, the judge said that Christophe Dettinger, would have easy prison terms.
