JAGAN PLANS TO EMBARK UPON BUS YATRA TO COVER REST OF AP
YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy now plans to go on a bus yatra to cover the 41 Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh, which were left out during his recentlyconcluded 3,648-km padayatra.
Mr Reddy had covered 2,516 villages in 134 constituencies out of 175 segments in the state. The 341-day Praja Sankalpa Yatra would boost the party’s winning chances, YSRC sources said.
The party is confident of coming to power in Andhra Pradesh after the Assembly elections, as anti-incumbency was likely to play a key role in turning the ruling party’s fortunes.
YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s housewarming ceremony, which was scheduled for February 14, was delayed as his sister Sharmila was down with the flu.
The family will move into the new house at Amaravati on February
27, said a source close to the family.
A few civic works are still pending at Mr Reddy’s house at Tadepalli, part of which will house his office and is specially designed for Mr Reddy.
The YSRC chief purchased a massive piece of land on the Krishna riverfront from a popular movie producer. The land adjacent to Mr Reddy’s house has been bought by a YSRC sympathiser.
Before the family moves in to the new house, they will be travelling to London between February 19 and
25 to visit his daughter. Mr Reddy had invited Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for the February 14 fete which was later postponed.
It is not clear if Mr Rao will travel to Amaravati at the month-end.
