TWO DIE AFTER DRIVER SLEEPS AT THE WHEEL

Two women were killed in a road mishap when their car rammed into a tree in Mancherial town late on Friday night.

The deceased were identified as Konda Vijaya Laxmi, 52, an Anganwadi worker and Salvandi Anasurya 43, a resident of Ramakrishnapur, police said.

According to the Mancherial police, Laxmi and Anasurya sustained serious injuries resulting in their death on the spot. Based on a complaint from Poshaiah, kin of the victim, a case under Section 304 A was registered against the driver.
