NARAYANPET, MULUG DISTRICTS FROM SUNDAY

Two more new districts will come into existence from Sunday, the birthday of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, taking the total number to 33.

The state government on Saturday issued the notification forming Narayanpet and Mulug districts. Mr Rao had promised during the campaign that the separate Narayanpet and Mulug districts.

The government notified the Mulug with nine mandals including Mulug, Venkatapur, Govindaraopet, Tadvai, Eturunagaram, Kannaigudem, Venkatapuram and Wajed. Narayanpet was notified as the district with 11 mandals including Narayanpet, Damargidda, Dhanwada, Murikel, Kosgi, Maddur, Utkoor, Narva, Makthal, Maagnur and Krishna.

The government has been appointing the collectors to ensure that this districts would become functional from Sunday.
