FOOD SAFETY

In the recent days, many disturbing news have come out in the media involving online food delivery and restaurants (Unclean hotels exploiting apps, DC, Feb. 16). While the delivery boys steal from the customers, the restaurants neglect hygiene factor due to the deficiency of the monitoring system. The FSSAI should be pulled up for issuing safety certificates before verification. The health department is making a huge mistake by not appointing sufficient number of food inspectors to monitor the activities of eateries.
