KCR plans 60 LS poll rallies

SOURCES SAY, before the state committee meeting of the party, TRS chief is likely to meet YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss the political situation in AP.

TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasek­har Rao is planning to address 60 public meetings in the 16 Lok Sabha constituen­cies in the state during the party’s campaign for the general election.

He had addressed 80 public meetings in 100 Assembly segments during the recent state polls.

Sources in the party disclosed that the party chief is planning to hold the TRS state committee meeting in the first week of March to finalise the party’s campaign strategy and prepare the state committee under the leadership of party working president K.T. Rama Rao.

Mr Chandrasek­har Rao had appointed party general secretarie­s to be in charge of parliament­ary constituen­cies during the Assembly polls.

The TRS chief will appoint 88 elected MLAs and two MLAs who joined the TRS, as incharges of the 90 Assembly segments, and MLCs would be given charge of the other segments.

Sources disclosed that Mr Chandrasek­har Rao has called up some of the party MLAs over the phone and sought their opinion on the election campaign.

They revealed that before the state committee meeting of the party, Mr Chandrasek­har Rao is likely to meet YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss the political situation in AP and the stand of the YSRC with regard to Telangana state, and taking forward his idea of forming a non-BJP and non-Congress Federal Front at the national level.
