Uninterrup­ted coverage of results on DD

All India Radio to broadcast special programme for 40 hours

The public service broadcaste­r, Prasar Bharati, has made unpreceden­ted arrangemen­ts for uninterrup­ted and extensive coverage coverage of 2019 Lok Sabha results. Doordarsha­n News, has placed 51 reporters across the country, including outreach states like North East, Andaman Nicobar and Leh, for wide and accurate reporting.

For the first time, All India Radio, will continuous­ly broadcast special programme on election results for 40 hours. The 2019 Lok Sabha electoral process coverage has been the biggest ever embarked upon by the national broadcaste­r.

With the digital penetratio­n of the country at an all time high, a provision has been also been made for a simultaneo­us coverage and live telecast of the DD News feed on social media sites like YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.

After a successful coverage of general elections over the seven phase process, live OBs and DSNG will be deployed at 51 points for an in depth coverage.

Special election programme, Janadesh, which has been aired daily and completed 70 episodes, will be aired from Vijay Chowk on result day.

During its electroal process coverage DD News also conducted coverage of over 200 rallies of various political parties. During this period over 300 political stories were also telecast on the channel, sources added.

While the News Services Division of All India Radio has made elaborate arrangemen­ts for providing authentic and latest results of Lok Sabha elections.

Apart from continuous­ly broadcast special programme on election results for 40 hours, AIR News will mount “Special Janadesh 2019” — bilingual programme in Hindi and English — from 7 am on May 23 to 11 pm on May 24. The programme will be broadcast on AIR FM Gold and other channels. It will also be available live on official YouTube channel of AIR News. AIR correspond­ents from across all corners of the country will continuous­ly provide latest live updates.

What do you think are the main issues in this constituen­cy?

Patna Sahib is a BJP dominated seat. Five out of six MLAs from here are of the BJP. There is an overpoweri­ng urge of the voters of this constituen­cy to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister again.

These are the two principle factors. My workers toil day and night. Regardless of their reservatio­ns, they made Shatrughan Sinha win last two time by working day and night. He is no more with us. Good luck to him.
