Revenue JAC to organise protests
Following the murder of Abdullapurmet tahsildar Ch Vijaya Reddy, the revenue employees Joint Action Committee (JAC) is planning agitations against the defective laws and introducing better software to deal with the revenue land records.
The revenue JAC on Thursday said that the employees were facing insults and allegations from society.
During the hunger strike held in front of the Medchal-Malkajgiri collectorate, Revenue JAC leaders V. Lachi Reddy, S. Ramulu, J. Upendra Rao and S. Lakshminarayana have expressed concern over the uneasy situation faced by the employees for a long time.
Earlier, the employees alleged that the department and its employees never faced such a humiliating situation. The revenue department is providing necessary funds to the state government in the form of taxes. The revenue employees are the ones who know about the farmers’ problems and the lands they own.
A cordial relationship between the farmers and employees has now become worse due to the defective laws of the state government and the issues emerging due to the software. “The farmers are now treating the revenue employees as enemies. We demand exclusion of the department from dealing with the land administration issues,” said the JAC.
The JAC said that they would hold a roundtable conference at Hyderabad on Monday and discuss the future action plan to resolve their issues.
