Ayub, Dhanraj, Pawan, Adwaith, Eshwar, Aditya shine

Avanish Rao stole the show with his splendid 183 run knock to help Hyderabad post 261 runs against Tamil Nadu on first day of the Vijay Merchant Trophy cricket match.

Avanish hit 21 boundaries and a six in his 266ball knock that propelled the Hyderabad total.

In another encounter, Hyderabad women scripted a three-wicket win over Rajasthan in an Under-23 T20 Trophy match. Chasing Rajasthan’s 110 for 3, Hyderabad girls replied with 111 for 7 on the last ball of the match.

Meanwhile, Harshwardhan Singh, Ayub Khan smashed centuries, where Dhanraj, Pawan Kalyan, Adwaith Reddy, Eshwar, Jyothi Aditya were the pick of bowlers in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s league matches.

Riding on

Harshwardhan’s unbeaten 125, Brothers XI posted 299 for 6 against Osmania on the first day of their match. Harshwardhan smashed 18 boundaries in his 170ball knock to bring up his fourth century in the league this season. He had earlier got 111 against PKMCCC, 101 not out against Hyderabad Titans and an unbeaten 102 vs Johnson School.

In another match, Adwaith took 5 for 61 to bowl Visaka CC to 46-run victory over Medak District. Replying to Visaka’s 249, Medak were bowled out for 194.

Eshwar took 5 wickets for 18 runs in MCC’s win over Classic.

In One-Day league, Ayub’s 102 helped Vijaypuri Willowmen beat Sacred Hearts; Dhanraj’s 7 for 38 went in vain as Hyderabad District lost to Ranga Reddy while Jyothi Aditya’s 5 for 23 helped Vimco get the better of RR District.
