RTA collects

Hyderabad: Over two days, the Road Transport Authority has collected 5,99,500 as penalties during special checking of contract carriage buses. RTA officials booked 13 cases booked in the north and east zone, and one vehicle was seized for not paying taxes. In the central zone, about 6 cases were booked of which one was seized. Penalty was collected for violations like lack of fire extinguishers, buses carrying more than the permitted number of passengers, carrying goods without permission and plying without paying taxes.
