Hyderabad: A 52-year-old old electrician who had taken to house burglary was arrested by the North Zone police while he was trying to sell the booty in Secunderabad area on Friday. The police recovered

`23 lakh worth of ornaments from his possession. Police said the accused, Mohd Omer, was involved in

13 house burglary cases under the three commissionerates. He used to scout the area which he intended to target under the guise of an electrician during the morning hours and committed the theft at night. The North Zone team along with Abids police verified the CCTV footage at places where he had struck, and identified Omer. The police laid a trap and apprehended him while he was trying to dispose of the stolen property at Pot Market, Secunderabad. The accused was sent to judicial custody.
