JH INSPECTOR SUSPENDED, SURRENDERS AT ACB OFFICE

Police commissioner Anjani Kumar placed Jubilee Hills inspector Balwantaiah under suspension on Friday, a day after he was booked by the ACB for demanding and accepting a bribe of `50,000 and two bottles of liquor from one Vamsi Krishna. The inspector surrendered at the ACB head office in the evening.

The inspector and his aide, sub-inspector P. Sudheer Reddy, demanded a bribe from Krishna for letting him out on station bail.

Sudheer Reddy was arrested on Thursday while taking the bribe.
