NARROW ESCAPE

Better counsel has prevailed and the US has backed away from escalating the conflict (US ready for serious talks with Iran, Jan 10). The truth behind the diametrically opposite claims of “minimal damage” by the US and “80 American terrorists” having been killed by Iran may never be known. But, the world heaves a sigh of relief that a disastrous war has been averted.
