KISHAN: DELHI RIOTS TIMED FOR DON VISIT

Union minister of state for home G. Kishan Reddy on Monday said the rioting in northeast Delhi, which has claimed the lives of four people, could be a conspiracy timed with the visit of US President Donald Trump.

Speaking to media at the state BJP office here, the minister said that the protesters were trying to create disturbance in the country. He said the police had been ordered to take action against those who were involved in the rioting and the death of the policeman. “Some sections of people are creating divisions among the religions which is not good for the country, he alleged.

“Who is responsible for the incident? Rahul Gandhi and Asaduddin Owaisi should answer,” said the minister. Peaceful protests have not been a problem but violence will be dealt with sternly, Mr Kishan Reddy said.

The minister challenged the TRS to show how the Citizen Amendment Act affects Indians.

“Is the TRS trying to favour Pakistan and Bangladesh by passing a resolution in the state Assembly against the CAA? Show us a faulty point in the CAA and the Union government will change the law,” the minister said.
