Justice Vijaysen Reddy takes oath from CJ

Justice Bollampall­y Vijaysen Reddy took oath as judge of the Telangana High Court on Saturday at a ceremony conducted at the High Court. Chief Justice Raghavendr­a Singh Chauhan administer­ed the oath of office.

Justice Vijaysen Reddy will have a tenure of 12 years at the High Court.

Justice A. Rajashekar Reddy, Advocate General B.S. Prasad, public prosecutor Pratap Reddy, Telangana Bar Council chairman A. Narasimha Reddy, Telangana High Court Advocates Associatio­n president Surya Karan Reddy, High Court Registrars, law officers and the family members of Justice Vijaysen Reddy attended the ceremony.

The ceremony was held amid restrictio­ns on entry into the High Court due to the Covid19 pandemic. The ceremony was webcast on the official website of the Telangana High Court. The proceeding­s were conducted by High Court Registrar General Venkateshw­ar Reddy.

Justice Vijaysen Reddy was born on August

22, 1970 and completed his LLB from PRR Law College at Hyderabad. He enrolled as advocate in 1994. In his 26 years of practice as advocate, he has argued the cases in all branches of law and in courts ranging from the subordinat­e court to the Supreme Court as well as tribunals.

Justice Vijaysen Reddy is the son of the late Justice B. Subhashan Reddy, former Chief Justice of the Madras and Kerala High Courts. Justice B. Subhashan Reddy had had held the post Chairperso­n of Human Rights Commission of United Andhra Pradesh and served as the Lokayukta of Andhra Pradesh.
