CM URGED TO OPEN SHOPS IN OLD CITY
The Old City Traders Association has urged Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to allow commercial shops, particularly in the Old City, to open for business during the last 10 days of Ramzan.
In a letter to the Chief Minister, association president Mahfooz Ahmed said opening the shops for a limited time, from 10 am to 6 pm until the lockdown is lifted can help traders, who have suffered serious financial losses.
“If the government allows us to open for business, we will ensure all social distancing and safety norms are followed, and no public grouping or parties will be organised,” the association president said.
