Learn to live with Corona, says CM
● MR RAO was speaking at a review meeting on the measures taken to contain the spread of the virus
Maintaining that people have no choice but learn to live with the Coronavirus, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Monday instructed officials to plan a strategy that would prepare people to accept this fact even as the government implements measures to check its spread.
Mr Rao was speaking at a review meeting on the measures taken to contain the spread of the virus and implementation of lockdown protocol. Pointing out that no one knows how long the pandemic would remain, he said that despite the presence of Coronavirus, a perfect strategy should be evolved to live on.
“Make fool-proof arrangements to contain the spread of the virus. Continue extending the best service to Covid-19 patients and conduct tests on those who came in contact with positive persons. Implement all quarantine norms to ensure that the virus does not spread from person to person,” he said. Stating that the state government was ready with all the equipment,
medicines and facilities, the Chief Minister assured that “we will respond properly from the medical side and there need not be any doubts on that.” He said, “while we continue our fight against Coronavirus, we have to be ready in other aspects, as well. Some economic activity has to take place. There are certain relaxations in green and orange zones.”
He felt that “officials should deeply study on how relaxations should be extended in future, and the kind of strategy to be adopted for each zone. There should be clarity on what activities could be allowed and what had to be curbed.” He asked the officials to also check out on the measures to be taken in Hyderabad. He instructed them to study the situation in the districts and precautions to be taken by the people, as also sectors where the government can consider relaxations, and submit a report.
