DELHI TRAIN TO CITY TO LEAVE ON SUNDAYS

One of the 12 trains that will begin running on Tuesday will be operated between Secunderab­ad and Delhi. Two others will pass through the SCR zone.

The train to Secunderab­ad will leave New Delhi on Sundays, starting May 17. It will return on Wednesdays from May 20.

Daily trains between Bengaluru and New Delhi, starting May 12, will stop at Anantapur, Guntakal and Secunderab­ad. Two trains will be run between Chennai and New Delhi every week with halts at Vijayawada and Warangal.

The trains will have A/C coaches, with fares similar to Rajdhani. Catering would not be included. No blankets would be provided. Passengers must report 90 minutes ahead of departure for screening.

A report from Delhi said all passengers must wear face masks. Only passengers with confirmed e-tickets shall be allowed in stations.

The IRCTC began booking online tickets at 6 pm after a delayed start.
