CPM leaders booked for staging protest

Hyderabad: Seven CPM leaders were booked for staging a protest to demand the closure of liquor shops in Malkajgiri on Monday. Police said the group led by CPM Malkajgiri convener Krupa Sagar had gathered at Malkajgiri crossroads and was carrying placards and raising slogans calling for the closure of liquor shops. Since the gathering violated the lockdown rules, the group was taken to the police station and booked under the IPC, Disaster Management Act and Epidemic Disease Act.
