KARYASHEEL, ABYUDIT ARE CHAMPIONS

P. Karyasheel and Abyudit Singh won the Open and Juniors categories respective­ly in the 168th Brilliant Trophy chess tournament that was conducted online at www.lichess.org. Karyasheel of Pace School (A.S. Rao Nagar) won the event with 76 points while Amithpal Singh came second with 56 points. R. Sreehith Reddy was third with 52 points. Among juniors, Abyudit of Ahmedabad won the event by scoring 88 points while Pavankarth­ikeya Varma took the second place with 86 points. Rounak Jakhotiya was third with

78 points. Sanglap Das won the boys under

15 category with Nishanth Varma ending runner-up. In the girls section, Venisha Vemuru finished first, followed by Jayaharich­andana. The organisers contribute­d Rs
