Film shootings can resume, says KCR SEE NO WORKER WALKS HOME, CM TELLS OFFICIALS

Chief Minister K. Chandrashe­kar Rao on Friday declared that film shootings and post-production work, which were stopped due to the lockdown, would be resumed in phases.

He was speaking at a meeting with actors and film-makers including Chiranjeev­i, Nagarjuna, D. Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind, N. Shankar, S.S. Rajamouli, Dil Raju, Trivikram Srinivas, Sri Kiran, Radhakrish­na, Koratala Siva, C. Kalyan, Meher Ramesh and Dhamu along with ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and S. Niranjan Reddy at Pragati Bhavan.

The film personalit­ies requested the Chief Minister to accord permission to film shootings and reopening of the theatres.

Responding positively, the CM suggest that initially, indoor production works with fewer people should be commence and, in June, film shootings can be allowed in a regular manner after assessing the situation. A decision on re-opening of theatres could be taken later.

Chief Minister K. Chandrashe­kar Rao has instructed officials to ensure that no guest worker has to walk back to his native place.

The Chief Minister instructed the Chief Secretary to arrange trains for the guest workers to reach their native places. He said buses have to be arranged in case if train services are not available.

The CM appealed to the guest workers not to walk back to their native places as the government would take the responsibi­lity of transporti­ng them home.
