Lockdown in containment zones extended till July 31
Preparing perhaps for the second round of the lockdown in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits, the state government has issued revised guidelines of lockdown, prohibiting movement of people in the daytime.

Kumar issued fresh guidelines in accordance with the orders of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, extending lockdown in containment zones till July 31, along with reopening of activities in a calibrated manner in areas outside containment zones.
While issuing the GO Ms No 93, the Chief Secretary directed all government departments and district collectors, police commissioners and Superintendents of Police to strictly implement the orders.
Since the beginning of Unlock-1, restriction on public movement has been relaxed across the state.
With the new guidelines in force, people are likely to be subjected to checks at the barricades police may put up at important junctions and roads.
The revised guidelines stipulate that movement of persons is prohibited except for emergency medical care between 10 pm and 5 am across the state.
Further, no shops and establishments, except hospitals and pharmacies, will remain open after 9.30 pm. Earlier, the night-time curfew was between 9.30 pm and 5 am.
However, movement of people for operation of industrial units in multiple shifts, movement of persons on national and state highways, loading and unloading of cargo, and travel of persons to their destinations after disembarking from buses, trains and airplanes, will be permitted during the prohibited hours.
On June 28, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao after reviewing the Covid-19 situation in the state, particularly in GHMC limits, indicated the imposition of a far more stringent lockdown in GHMC limits for at least 15 days in view of the increasing number of Covid-19 cases.
Health Minister Etala Rajendar also said that if necessary, the government will impose lockdown in the GHMC limits to contain the spread of the virus.
