The Laknavaram lake in Govindaraopet Mandal of Mulugu district has water till its full reservoir level (FRL) of 33.2 feet. The lake which provides irrigation water to 12,000 acres has

1.2 tmc ft of water. Water at the Pakhal lake is standing at 27.3 feet against its FRL of 30 feet. Spread over 5,300 acres and holding 3.23 tmc ft, the lake irrigates 28,365 acres.

The Ramappa lake is having water at the 29-feet mark against its FRL of 35 feet. The lake irrigates

Rain and heavy wind uprooted several trees on the National Highway 163 which connects Hyderabad with Bhupalpatnam in Chhattisgarh, bringing the traffic to a standstill for three hours. The district administration took up measures to remove the fallen trees.

Several rivulets overflowed inundating roads connecting villages. As a result, interior areas have been cut off in Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Mulugu districts.

Coal production by Singareni Collieries in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district has been hit severely. Mining at opencast sector 1 and 2 has been halted since three days resulting in a loss of about `12 crore to Singareni Collieries Limited (SCCL).
